Segmental Retaining Wall with Unilock Concord XL blocks in Ipswich

The old railroad tie retaining wall was rotting away and some timbers were failing and cracking. Dirt was starting to wash down onto the driveway so Artistic Landscapes designed a new segmental retaining wall utilizing Unilock's Concord XL style blocks. A deep footing was built with over 4' of crushed stone for the wall to be built on top of. Drainage stone is behind the wall and separated from the loam with a layer of landscape fabric. The client loves that we were able to create a natural outdoor space for them with wall stones that have crisp edges and variations of color while keeping a consistent look.
