Granite Steps in Groveland

This Groveland, MA family live in an old farm house that needed new steps to their formal front door. The base beneath the prior steps was in good shape but it was set too low. They had a 4" step up from the lawn/stepping stones and 8+ inch step from their top step to the door. Artistic Landscapes added to the footing by drilling into the existing footing in seven spots prior to installing rebar. The rebar connects the 5" of new concrete footing with the old footing because the rebar is embedded into the bottom 3" of the new concrete. In addition to the rebar, Artistic Landscapes applied C-21 adhesive to further help bond the old concrete with the new concrete.
